Dive Travel Notes:
Cayman Islands

My all-time favorite is Little Cayman. Bloody Bay Wall is diver's Paradise. I stay at Pirates Point where the food is outstanding so there is no need to go anywhere else to eat. That's good because there's only one public restaurant on the tiny island anyway. Guests at some of the other resorts get tired of institutional food and reserve extra tables at Pirates Point when available. They only do two tanks/day but no time limits and a very relaxed schedule. You can usually talk them into a night dive during your week which is almost always Saturday to Saturday. It's not a luxury accommodation, but if you like funky, down-home relaxation it's hard to beat. It's a unique diving lifestyle, at least to my somewhat limited experience. THere is little else to do on the island - some fishing, bird watching, a tiny museum and a research station are about it. Did I mention the food? It's worth going there just for the food, even if you aren't diving!
